It is the start of our first season, and let me tell you, this weekend was amazing! We met so many new friends, saw a ton of familiar faces, and connected with our community in a way we have never had the opportunity to before.
Tiffany from Luner Photography was here in the early morning on Saturday to document the first day of our Opening Weekend. Her pictures absolutely do the day justice- she captured the essence of our Opening Weekend! What started as a way for us to open the farm up to the community, morphed into a post COVID-era event. We were able to host a number of small businesses on the farm, and support them during these strange times. These are businesses near and dear to our hearts, ones who had weddings and events canceled, or had to close their doors because they weren't considered essential during the shut down. I was so honored to share the weekend with them and work alongside them as they re-enter the world in regards to business after Corona-Virus.
We had Goodie Bags full of fun goodies for the first 30 customers, and a Raffle full of awesome items, all donated by local businesses. Even though our event wasn't what we had initially envisioned, it was sweet and successful in its own way. If pivot wasn't in our vocabulary, it is now!
We can't thank our community enough! Thank you for loving us, supporting us, and encouraging us. This farm will continue to be a beacon of light, despite what is happening around us. Matt and I are committed to you all, our community, and we will always be a welcoming, inclusive, positive place for everyone. We hope to see you on the farm soon!
